
ME TEDD - THERMAL EVENT DETECTION DEVICE
The ME TEDD Range integrates a diverse array of sensors designed to enable precise detection of thermal events. Available with ISO262626 ASIL B safety ratings TEDD is the most advanced standalone thermal event sensor on the market. Through a multi sensor approach TEDD provides faster reaction time, reduced chance of false positives and increased redundancy for modern battery applications.
TYPES OF SENSORS
GAS SENSING
Gasses during a thermal runaway event spread faster than heat. Detecting gasses provides early insight into developments inside the battery pack and crucial redundancy input for decision making.
PRESSURE SENSING
Pressure sensors can detect thermal events based on pressure gradients.
HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURE SENSING
An increase of humidity and temperature are additional indicators for thermal events.
ACCELERATION SENSING
Strong mechanical shocks can damage the cells.
